The magnificently scenic, 16km-long Samaria gorge in the White Mountain Rangfe, is Europe’s second-longest and is ideal for experienced or fit hikers. Located 70km from Chania, the gorge is part of the Samaria National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve declared as such in 1962. The trek includes lovely sightings of impressive Cretan and Mediterranean flora and fauna.

Beautiful views of the surrounding White mountains, a small river that runs through the gorge and the kri kri wild Cretan goats. Length: 4-6 hours to walk, depending on the pace and number of stops.
Agia Roumeli, at the end of the gorge by the Libyan sea. A picturesque, isolated village that lays between the huge rocks of Samaria gorge and the Libyan sea. We hang out here to rest and enjoy a refreshing swim in the Libyan sea, as well as lunch at one of the local tavernas. Immediately after, a boat will transport us from Agia Roumeli to the village of Sfakia
Arrival at the Chora (main town) of Sfakia, after a 1hour boat trip. From here we take a bus and return to the hotel.
